RARE BEASTS SPAWN TIMERS: Spirit Beasts:(on timers below add +5 minutes) An elite pet is not any more powerful than a non-elite pet once it has been tamed, but in the wild an elite enemy is significantly tougher -- so taming one can be a special challenge. I don't know how people tame this pet all by themselves - Unless they use the whole freaking day :P I'm usually very patient, and own every single spirit beast in the game (Though now I am missing Hutia and Degu), but this guy was hard! If you don’t have 5 unique spirit beasts yet, I would recommend taming a few copies of the spectral porcupines as they have a quick respawn and always seem to be up — Hutia, Degu, and Gumi. Tame one of these beasts and you may get frequent whispers from other hunters asking you where you found your unusual pet! The whole taming took around 45 minutes, and we died a lot. At least for me, taming this guy made taming the other two spectral porcupines seem like a cakewalk. Then I got Resurrection sickness as was said above, but along with that my weapon broke, so it was piece of cake to weaken Degu because without weapon I had to hit him 5 times or so with autoattack.
