I figured since we are not in room for much of our vacation that Fab room was OK for me. The lobby is very crowded with lots of timeshare reps. The new Flamongo room describes the view from this room as no view.
In fact, all of the room categories at the Flamingo start at 350 square feet. We will be there in 2 wks., staying at Flamingo for the first time. The Flamingo is near the center of it all, or maybe it just seems that way to me. The Flamingo’s Go High Roller View Non-Smoking room features marvelous sights of the 550-foot-tall wheel. Go Room prices fluxuated on the Flamingo website quite widely for three days - during normal business hours rates skyrocketed to $600/night, settled down to $300 in the early evening, then took a nose dive around midnight to around $200/night. Flamingo hotel recently renovated this past summer, so it's very nice now. These rooms also offer state-of-the-art electronics including remote-controlled drapes and a high-definition flat-screen TV. By no means are we snobs about hotels, but we want a clean and semi updated room. I knew off the bat that we’d stay in a GO Room. Going to the Flamingo again in 3 weeks time, and have already booked a Go Strip View Room on the "Hot Deals" page. All bathrooms come with a walk-in shower. Go room is their last renovation and the rooms were decent, but not sure what they look like recently as we haven't stayed in one in awhile. Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino is the Strip's original home of cool, a tropical oasis with a central location. It appears to be 50sq foot bigger but was wondering about views?
